Regional Info Meetings Will Highlight Need For Alternative Energy, Climate Bills

Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future is sponsoring a series of information breakfasts across the state to inform residents of the need to pass House Bill 80 (Vitali-D-Delaware) and Senate Bill 92 (Erickson-R-Delaware) to increase alternative energy standards and create a carbon sequestration network in Pennsylvania.
Gov. Rendell, local legislators and representatives of other organizations will be attending the events. The meetings will be held-- January 13 in Media; January 14 in Allentown; January 15 in Wilkes-Barre; January 19 in Camp Hill; January 20 in Pittsburgh; and January 20 in Erie. House Bill 80 was reported from the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee on July 8 and has been on the House Calendar awaiting action. 97 amendments have been filed to the bill for consideration on the floor.
