Gov. Rendell this week announced $5 million in additional cuts to the departments of Environmental Protection and Conservation and Natural Resources as part of a package of $161 million in additional cuts he said in December were needed to help balance the state budget in the face of declining state revenues.

These cuts are on top of the drastic cuts the agencies received in the 2009-10 budget. The cuts suffered by DEP now total $61.8 million and for DCNR $22 million totaling over $83 million for the fiscal year. A detailed List of Cuts is available online.
