February 8 Environmental Forum Features Regupol America, Scrap Tire Recycler
The Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee will hold its first Environmental Issues Forum of 2010 on February 8 at 12:00 noon in Room 205 of the Matthew J. Ryan Building.

Guest presenters will be George Soukas and John Aten, president and vice-president of sales respectively for Regupol America of Lebanon, Pa.

Regupol America
, founded in February 2008, is a manufacturer of recycled rubber products with both a national and international sales presence and customer relationships in more than 80 countries.

A subsidiary of Germany’s BSW, its key products are health and fitness flooring, underlayment (under synthetic floors), sound dampening products (under hardwood, vinyl and ceramic floors) and commercial rubber flooring. Regupol America has installed the latest rubber processing equipment in its two relatively new facilities and is on the industry’s cutting edge.

Soukas and Aten will discuss the state of scrap tire and rubber recycling markets, the manufacturing sectors that are experiencing growth, provide an update on the use of recycled rubber products in the building industry and review technological advances in processing and manufacturing.

Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Chair of the Committee and Sen. Ray Musto (D-Luzerne) serves as Vice Chair.
