Senate Majority Leader Warns Of New State Budget Deficit

In a podcast released this week, Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi (R-Delaware) warn if state revenues do not improve, the state could face a $400- $500 million budget deficit at the end of this fiscal year. If that's the case, the state will face a new round of very difficult budget cuts.
Sen. Pileggi also said he was working on changes to the Open Records law for the coming year. He noted issues related to "nurturing and promoting" Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling will also be in the forefront of items considered this year.
