Governor Restores Funding To Some Agencies, But Not DEP, DCNR
|
Gov. Rendell this week restored $32.9 million in funding he froze in January to help deal with the projected FY 2009-10 budget deficit, but not any of the $3.8 million in additional cuts he made to the departments of Environmental Protection and Conservation and Natural Resources.
The Department of Agriculture did see a restoration of $900,000 in its agricultural line item, some of which was devoted to environment-related research projects.
The revised mid-year cuts are available online.
