PROP Sponsoring Municipal Recycling Roundtables April 8, 12

The Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania is sponsoring municipal recycling roundtables on April 8 in Bloomsburg and April 12 in Slippery Rock.

            Both Roundtables are open to all municipal personnel, County Recycling Coordinators and staff, and those interested in learning more about recycling markets, the recycling fund reauthorization, and contingency plans which will include sustainability challenges, contract and bid preparations, and ordinances.  
            On hand to discuss these issues will be representatives from the Department of Environmental Protection, the PA Recycling Markets CenterGreenstar Pittsburgh (at the West Roundtable) and consultants. 
            Both Roundtables will begin at 10 a.m. with adjournment at 2 p.m.  The cost is $10 to cover lunch and is payable at the door or you can choose to be invoiced.  You are invited to bring a morning beverage with you. 
            The Roundtables will be held at the Columbia County Agriculture Center /Penn State Extension Office, 700 Sawmill Road, in Bloomsburg and the Jennings Environmental Ed Center, 2951 Prospect Rd., Slippery Rock.
