House Committee To Hold Hearing On Impact Of Stream Buffers On Waterways March 8

The House Democratic Policy Committee will hold a public hearing to explore the environmental impact of buffers on waterways on March 8 starting at 10:00 a.m.
            Scheduled to testify are--
-- Bernard Sweeney, director, Stroud Water Research Center;
-- Grant Gulibon, regulatory specialist, Pennsylvania Builders Association;
-- Marel Raub, Pennsylvania director, Chesapeake Bay Commission; and
-- David Wise, Pennsylvania Watershed Restoration Manager, Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
            The hearing was requested by retiring Rep. Barbara McIlvaine Smith (D-Chester).  Rep. Mike Sturla (R-Lancaster) serves as Chair of the Policy Committee.
            The hearing will be in Room 140 of the Capitol Building.
