National Abandoned Mine Reclamation Programs Conference Sept. 19-24 In Scranton

The National Association of Abandoned Mine Reclamation Programs will hold its national conference in Scranton on September 19-24.
This group consists of people from 28 State and 3 Tribal Abandoned Mine Land programs and each year the Conference attracts 250-300 attendees, including people from federal agencies such as U.S. Department of the Interior, federal Office of Surface Mining and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and engineers, consultants and mining and reclamation industry representaives.
The 2010 conference will be followed by a workshop with about 100 additional people from the Interstate Technical Group on Abandoned Underground Mines, which is a national interstate transportation, underground mine geotechnical group that deals with abandoned underground mine subsidence problems under the nation’s highways.
Sponsorships/Exhibitors/Presentations
The Conference is looking for sponsors, exhibitors, presentations, diversions, tours, etc. that will represent our area and our business and interest people from across the nation.
Presentations, sponsorship, exhibition, and attendance at the conference present an excellent opportunity to interact with decision makers from the federal government, the state AML programs, and Pennsylvania Mining Regulators.
