DEP Permit Delays, Improving Permit Process Topic Of Senate Committee Hearing March 16

The Senate Republican Policy Committee will hold a hearing March 16 on improving the permit review processes in the Department of Environmental Protection.
The Committee is investigating the possible causes of delays in the DEP permitting process and will discuss possible solutions, like electronic permitting.
The panel will take testimony from permit applications, DEP officials and others.
The hearing will be held starting at 9:30 a.m. in Hearing Room 1, North Office Building.
Sen. Ted Erickson (R-Delaware) serves as Chair of the Committee.
