State Forest Drilling Moratorium Bill To Be Considered By House Committee
|
|
The House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee meets on March 24 to consider House Bill 2235 (Vitali-D-Delaware) which would impose a five year moratorium on leasing more State Forest land for natural gas drilling along with these other bills-- -- House Bill 2109 (Hornaman-D-Erie) providing for a temporary property tax assessment for alternative energy systems; and
-- House Bill 1341 (George-D-Clearfield) requiring the testing of sewage sludge before land application.
The meeting will be held in Room 39 East Wing starting at 10:00.
Rep. Bud George serves as Majority Chair and Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Minority Chair.
