Marcellus Shale Topic Of March 22 Environmental Issues Forum

The Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee will sponsor another in its Environmental Forums on March 22 on the issue of Marcellus Shale.
The guest presenter will be Thomas B. Murphy, Extension Educator with the Marcellus Education Team of the Penn State Cooperative Extension Service.
Murphy will discuss resource development and community impacts of Marcellus Shale natural gas exploration and drilling. He will also discuss research implications and collaborative opportunities related to key Marcellus Shale issues.
The Forum will start at noon in Room G-50 of the Irvis Building, Harrisburg, PA.
Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Chair of the Committee and Sen. Ray Musto (D-Luzerne) serves as Vice Chair.
