Be Out There National Environmental Education Webcast Set For April 10

On April 10 from noon to 1:30, the National Wildlife Federation will host Be Out There: A National Summit on Children and the Outdoors.
The summit is for anyone interested in state and federal policy solutions to connect children with nature.
The free webcast will feature Texas Representative Carol Alvarado, National Wildlife Federation President & CEO Larry Schweiger, and video messages from Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson, and Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley.
There will also be a panel discussion entitled, "New Partners and Innovative Strategies to Address the Indoor Childhood," featuring Dr. Sandra Stenmark of Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Nina Roberts of San Francisco State University, and Margo Pedroso of Safe Routes to School National Partnership.
