Audubon, State Park Birding Walks Set For April, May

Members of the Tiadaghton Audubon Society will lead Saturday Morning Birding Walks in State Parks during April and May.  Walk will be at Hills Creek State Park on April 10, 17 and 24 at 8:30 a.m., and walks will be at Colton Point State Park on May 8 and 15 at 7:30 a.m. in Tioga County.  
            Walks will feature the many varieties of water and woodland birds that live in or migrate through the parks.  The Bald Eagles have been observed, and you may have the opportunity to watch them or the Ospreys that feed at Hills Creek Lake.  
            Walks in May at Colton Point State Park will feature the color woodland warblers.  Bring your binoculars and wear your walking shoes.  Walks are usually two hours.
            Meeting locations: Hills Creek State Park, meet at Park Office.  Colton Point State Park: Directions: Follow Colton Road off of Route 6   (approximately 10 miles west of Wellsboro) until entering Colton Point State Park, pass the first Overlook (on the left), continue to follow the paved road and turn left into the day-use area. Continue on paved road to overlook and parking area.
