The following bills were signed into law this week by Gov. Rendell--

Recycling Fee: House Bill 961 (Buxton-D-Dauphin) extending the $2/ton Recycling Fee through 2020 and requiring the transfer of $1.25 million annually through the FY 2012-13 to a new Used Tire Pile Remediation Program.  Gov. Rendell signed it into law this week as Act 24.  (see separate article)
 

 Geologists: House Bill 975 (Adolph-R-Delaware) further providing for continuing education for professional geologists was signed into law by Gov. Rendell this week as Act 25.
