DEP Sets Adaptation To Climate Change Work Group Meetings

The Department of Environmental Protection Climate Change Advisory Committee will hold a series of meetings of the Adaptation to Climate Change Work Group in May. (formal notice)
As a result of recommendations made by the Advisory Committee, DEP has begun the planning process for the development of a series of strategies to adapt to climate change in four issue areas: natural resources, public health and safety, infrastructure and tourism and outdoor recreation.
The first meetings of the work groups will be--
-- May 17 - Infrastructure - 12th Floor Conference Room, Rachel Carson Building, 9:00 a.m.;
-- May 21 - Public Health & Safety - 14th Floor Conference Room, Rachel Carson Building, 10:30 a.m.;
-- May 25 - Natural Resources - 107 Forest Resources Building, University Park, 10:00; and
-- May 27 - Tourism & Outdoor Recreation - Susquehanna Room Fish and Boat Commission headquarters, 1:00.
The next regular meeting of the full Climate Change Advisory Committee is May 20 at 10:00 a.m., Room 105, Rachel Carson Building.
