Cleaning Out Lockers, Dorm Rooms? Remember To Recycle, Reuse

The Chester County Solid Waste Authority is reminding High School and college students cleaning out their lockers and dorm rooms to remember to recycle and reuse unwanted items.
Amazing treasurers and trash will be discovered lodged in a locker or dorm room. Usually schools provide large trash containers to collect all of those unwanted items. But what happens to the recyclables? Do they get trashed as well?
Encourage your school to provide “recycling” containers as well for all paper products and empty bottles and containers that can be recycled. When trash and recycling containers are placed side by side, items will go into the proper container and not just the one that is closest.
