House (June 14):  House Bill 80 (Vitali-D-Delaware) expanding the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards and authorizing a carbon sequestration network; House Bill 2234 (Houghton-D-Chester) prohibiting deed restrictions related to solar energy systems on residential property; House Bill 708 (Ross-R-Chester) requiring the recycling of consumer electronics.

Senate (June 14): Senate Bill 900 (Argall-R-Schuylkill) providing for neighborhood blight reclamation and revitalization;  Senate Bill 1250 (Pileggi-R-Delaware) requiring the sharing of air pollution fines with local governments; Senate Bill 1303 (MJ White-R-Venango) authorizing the use of the Clean Water Fund to finance Black Fly and West Nile Virus suppression; Senate Bill 1374 (MJ White-R-Venango) requiring DCNR's Bureau of Topographic and Geologic Survey to update workable coal seams annually and setting separation distances from gas wells and coal seams; Senate Bill 1379 (Musto-D-Luzerne) requiring the recycling of textbooks; House Bill 621 (Curry-D-Montgomery) designating the eastern box turtle as PA's official state reptile.

Bills Introduced

The following bills of interest were introduced this week--

Noncoal Mining Fees:  Senate Bill 1394 (Eichelberger-R-Blair) authorizing changes in noncoal mining permit and reclamation fees by regulation.
 

Brownfields Tax Credit:  Senate Bill 1395 (Browne-R-Lehigh) providing for a $3,500 tax credit for each job created on a brownfield site.
