Discover the features of our sun and how it affects the Earth.
-- Tour of the Night Sky: Join us for a Tour of the Night Sky at 9:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Discover the constellations in the sky and learn how to find them in your own backyard. Bring binoculars and a blanket or lawn chair if you like.
In the event of inclement weather, an alternate program will be offered at the park pavilion. Public programs are held at the Night Sky Viewing Area (north side of the park) opposite of the gated Astronomy Observing Field. Weather can be cool and damp, please dress accordingly. Please leave your pets at home. We recommend that you bring a small flashlight.
