Help Wanted: Natural Biodiversity Seeking Candidates For 4 Positions

The non-profit group Natural Biodiversity based in Windber, Pa is seeking candidates to fill four positions--

Assistant Director:  The Assistant Director will be responsible for organizational development, 501(c)3 formation, fundraising, media relations, office management and other development. He or she will report to the Executive Director, supervise staff and serve as an ambassador for Natural Biodiversity. This position is full-time, salaried, and has benefits available.

            Requirements: A bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree is preferred), at least five years of relevant experience, ability to work independently and productively, communication skills, a valid PA driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Executive Assistant: The Executive Assistant will be responsible for bookkeeping tasks, creating financial reports, and office administration. This is a flexible, part-time position and does not include benefits. Requirements: The Executive Assistant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 17 years old, and have experience with administrative and bookkeeping tasks.

Stewardship Coordinator: The Stewardship Coordinator will plan and implement stewardship projects in the Allegheny Mountains region that include restoration, forest monitoring, field surveys, management plans, community planning and outdoor classroom development. This AmeriCorps position offers a maximum living stipend of $11,800 and an education award of $5,350 and includes health insurance. 

            Requirements: The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident, have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 17 years old, pass a criminal background check, have a reliable vehicle, be available for some evening and weekend work, and be able to commit for 1,700 hours of service. Preferable candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in an environmental, communications, or education field.

Education and Outreach Coordinator: The Education and Outreach Coordinator will create outdoor classrooms, assist organizations with stewardship projects, develop curriculum, manage volunteers, organize events, assist with membership and donations, maintain media relations and update various websites. This AmeriCorps position offers a maximum living stipend of $11,800 and an education award of $5,350 and includes health insurance.
