Clinton County CleanScapes Sponsors West Branch Susquehanna Cleanup July 17

On July 17 Clinton County CleanScapes will hold the 7th annual West Branch Susquehanna River Cleanup starting at 8:45 a.m.
This year, the river cleanup will concentrate around the Great Island-boaters, waders and photographers are encouraged to consider these unique recreational opportunities. This is a beautiful run of river and we hope the paddlers find this section just as rewarding and challenging as the upper sections of the river.
The event will also feature the 2010 Clinton County Dumpsite survey results, recognition of the 2010 Volunteer of the Year and one lucky 2010 CCC member’s name will be drawn and will win a customized one-half day guided river kayaking trip with Rock, River & Trail Outfitters of Lock Haven!
Volunteers should meet at the Woodward Twp. Picnic Pavilion, located on the opposite riverbank from Lock Haven’s Amphitheater, at the intersection of the Jay St. Bridge & Rt. 664/Coudersport Pike.
