USGS: Number Of Counties In Drought Watch Condition Drops To 10

The USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center this week reported the number of counties in drought watch condition dropped to 10 from a high of 36 last week using the Palmer Drought Severity Index.

            The counties include: Bradford, Lackawanna, Lycoming, Luzerne, Monroe, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wayne and Wyoming.
            These counties remain in drought warning status for surface water sources: Adams, Bradford, Columbia, Montour and Tioga.
            These counties remain in drought warning status for groundwater sources: Bradford, Carbon, Fayette, Lackawanna, Lawrence, Mercer, Monroe, Pike and Somerset.
