Bucks County Community College Announces Green Jobs Academy Grant

Bucks County Community College this week announced the college has received additional grants to support its Green Jobs Academy.
The College received a $631,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop and expand weatherization training and a $315,000 grant from the Department of Labor and Industry to fund training programs geared towards renewable energy, pollution prevention and brownfield cleanup.
The college also joined forces with various green companies in the region to help support curriculum development and training. These companies include AEPolysilicon, Y-Carbon, Dow Chemical, Lockheed Martin, PECO, Rhodia, Drexel University, and Gamesa USA.
