Call For Presentations: 2011 Schuylkill Watershed Congress

The Delaware Riverkeeper and organizers of the 2011 Schuylkill Watershed Congress have issued a call for presentations.  The Congress will be held on March 12.   Proposals are due November 1.
            Past participants requested the following topics, but we will consider all suggestions: Green streets and planting initiatives, Permitting primer, Gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale, Watershed health indicators, Chapter 93: Water Quality Standards, Environmental Advisory Councils, Streambank restoration and other case studies, Hands-on flora/fauna identification, Best management practices and government policy, Agricultural impacts on stream health, Fishes of the Schuylkill, Stormwater ordinances and green practices, Small sewage treatment system regulation, Total maximum daily loads, Litigation and developers, Rain gardens, Reach non-traditional audiences, Abandoned mine drainage, Municipal separate storm sewer systems, Macroinvertebrates, Brownfields, Restoration design feedback, Buffer widths, How to create maps to improve streams, PCBs, Stream monitoring, Green roofs, Impacts of aquaculture, Classroom ideas for teachers and Evaluate and improve ordinances.
