DCNR Opens New Community Conservation Partnership Grant Round, Sets Webinars

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is offering a webinar on November 16 at 10:00 a.m. to help communities prepare applications for Community Conservation Partnership Program grants.
            Applications are due April 20.
Under the grant program, local and county governments and non-profit organizations can apply for funding to address their recreation and conservation needs as well as support recreational tourism efforts.
The webinar will highlight best practices for "greening" recreation and conservation projects. A significant percentage of the grant application ranking criteria are dedicated to scoring the green design and development elements for parks, recreation facilities, trails and associated amenities.
This training will provide participants an opportunity to learn from leading landscape architects about site design and construction best practices.
Space for the session is limited to 200 registrants. The webinar will be 90 minutes long with the last 30 minutes dedicated to answering questions.
Registration is available online. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with the log-in and call-in information.
For more information about the webinar, contact Sherri Clukey by sending email to:  sclukey@state.pa.us or 717-705-8532.
Visit the Community Conservation Partnership webpage for more information on grant opportunities.
