Mansfield Watershed Club To Host Marcellus Shale & Wind Farm Conference Feb. 26

The Watershed Club of Mansfield University in Tioga County is hosting an informational 1-day conference on February 26 focusing on the Marcellus Shale and Wind Farms.
A diverse group of speakers, ranging from county planners, consultants, industry, local citizens, Trout Unlimited and the Game Commission, will speak on a wide range of topics concerning both industries which have become major environmental issues in Pennsylvania.
The organization hopes to inform participants on environmental impacts from these industries and what we can do to minimize those impacts.
The conference will be held at Mansfield University from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The registration deadline is February 11 and there is a $25 registration fee to cover the cost of meals and take home materials.
