DEP Publishes Revised NOx Allocations for 2008-2012, Set Asides for 2005

The Department of Environmental Protection published two important notices this week related to its credit trading program for controlling nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from major sources.

The NOx allocations for 2008-2012 is an inventory of current credits held and valid for major emission sources across the state. The inventory includes a facility by facility list of credits available.

DEP also published its 2005 listing of available credits from the new source set aside allocation in a facility by facility list.

Both lists are designed to encourage the trading program by letting interested parties know which credits are available.

Individual facilities also have the opportunity to appeal the credits DEP says they have available.
