The Fish and Boat Commission this week announced nearly $2 million in federal monies will be available soon for high-priority conservation projects for endangered, threatened and at-risk species across Pennsylvania through the State Wildlife Grants Program.

Applications must be submitted by 1 p.m. on April 25.

About $1.3 million in federal Wildlife Conservation and Restoration Program (WCRP) funding and $2.5 million in SWG funding were allocated for similar purposes in 2001 and 2002, respectively. In 2003, the two agencies distributed $1.89 million in SWG monies.
