Patrick Henderson Named Energy Executive By Corbett

Gov.-elect Corbett has named Patrick Henderson, 36, of Harrisburg, as Energy Executive, the senior adviser to the Governor charged with coordinating the overall state energy policy, utilizing expertise within the relevant agencies of state government. Henderson has been Executive Director of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee under the Chairmanship of Sen. Mary Jo White (R-Venango) since 1999.
He has been involved in crafting and helping to enact major environmental legislation, including bills creating the Growing Greener Program, the Water Resources Planning Act, the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards Act, the Alternative Energy Investment Act and the Coal Mine Safety Act.
Henderson received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Bloomsburg University.
