Delaware River Basin Forums Set For March 10
|
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and its partners are hosting a series of eight Delaware River Basin Forums on March 10. Three of the Forums are in Pennsylvania.
The goals of the Forum are to bring together the public, private and nonprofit entities that have a stake in clean and plentiful drinking water and can do something about it at the local level to develop a collaborative approach to protecting drinking water.
The agenda will include regional and local topics such as: water use and water supply; regional impacts of climate change; strategies for water resource protection and tools and tactics for local protection.
The locations in Pennsylvania include:
-- Monroe County Public Center, Stroudsburg;
-- Reading Area Community College, Reading; and
-- WHYY Public Media Commons, Philadelphia.
The forum is sponsored by the Source Water Collaborative and the Forum Planning Team (U. S. Environmental Protection Agency, Delaware Department of Health and Human Services, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Delaware River Basin Commission, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, New York State Department of Health and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection).
For more information, visit the Delaware River Basin Forums website or send email to: info@DelawareBasinDrinkingWater.org. Registration begins January 15.
