Symposium Set on Susquehanna Riverfront Communities for June 8-10

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) has opened registration for the Riverfront Communities: A Susquehanna Symposium to The symposium will deal with the challenges and opportunities common to riverfront communities throughout the The symposium is tailored for elected officials, representatives of business and industry, environmental and conservation organizations, government agencies, advocates for healthy communities and greenways, and anyone else who wants to exchange ideas for using and conserving their rivers' resources to improve their communities. Three plenary sessions will be held covering topics including The Susquehanna Greenway: A Call to Action; Cities Capitalizing on the River; and Regional Revitalization Projects. In addition, a variety of concurrent sessions will be held in five overall tracks, including: (1) Recreation, (2) Economic Development, (3) River Corridor Management, (4) Susquehanna Greenway Partnership and (5) Hands-On Training. The symposium's primary sponsors include the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, PA Department of Environmental Protection, PA Department of Transportation, PA Environmental Council, SEDA-Council of Governments and the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership.
