Four Great Ways To Support Your State Parks And State Forests

The Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation announces four great ways you can support recreation programs in your state parks and forests:
            Community Days at the BonTon
PPFF has signed on with Bon-Ton's annual Community Day. Your $5 donation to this unique little fundraiser will go directly to environmental education in the parks and forests. In return, you'll receive a coupon booklet valued at $200 good for discounts at any of the Bon Ton family of department stores on February 26th.
Order a booklet by sending a check to the PPFF office, order online or purchase it by visiting our table at the Camp Hill Bon-Ton near Harrisburg on the following days from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Friday, 2/11, Saturday, 2/12 and Friday, 2/25.
            Subscribe to Outside Magazine
Great writing about the outdoors can always be found in Outside magazine with stories on the Next Great Adventure on nearly every page.  Subscribing to the magazine now comes with an added bonus—sign up for at least a year of home delivery, and $10 comes back to PPFF for recreation in parks and forests for the young and young at heart!
Receive this terrific magazine (not to mention inclusion of their summer and winter Buyer’s Guides for expert options on gear of all kinds) for $24/year (two years for $36).  To get in on this offer, visit our website and link to the special offer.
Get DirecTV and Support Your State Parks
Any new customer who signs up for DirecTV service through March 31, and uses a special code provided for Pennsylvania, will get the best in market pricing (a $120 savings) and Pennsylvania state parks will get $50. Sign up by calling this exclusive parks number— 1-877-214-9573. Use the promotional code PAPARKS when prompted.
            Green Boot App
Hiking, running and walking with your iPhone can generate a donation from Green Boot. Green Boot Media has come up with a neat little pedometer app that helps you help you - and us! Download the free app and let it start counting your steps. Through some magical formula, steps are calculated and a donation is made to us or any number of like organizations all across the country.
Donations come from ad revenue. Green Boot supports green initiatives and charities through interactive media exposure. The company allocates 15 percent of its annual proceeds to protecting parks, wetlands and other habitat.  Enter PPFF’s code -1039 – to help generate a donation to PPFF.
To make a donation directly to the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation, call 717-236-7644 or donate online.
