Bills Introduced

The following bills of interest were introduced this week--

Gas Well Bonding: Senate Bill 602 (MJ White-R-Venango) amending the Oil and Gas Act to establish a graduated scale for bonding wells.

Erie Bluff Recession: Senate Bill 791 (Earll-R-Erie) changing the definition of bluff recession hazard area under the Bluff Recession and Setback Act.

Leasing Moratorium: House Bill 150 (Vitali-D-Delaware) would put a three-year moratorium on additional state forestland being leased for Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling.

Gas Well Restrictions: House Bill 971 (George-D-Clearfield) further providing for restrictions on the location of gas wells, changing the permitting process and making numerous other changes.
