Watershed Alliance Of York Sponsors Cleanup On March 26

Got cabin fever? Want to get the kids and spouse out of the house? Help cleanup trash and floating debris in the woodland and wetlands of the Susquehanna River and learn what you can do to help protect our Earth. Fun for the whole family!
           JSTFishin’ Guide Service, the Watershed Alliance of York, and PPL are sponsoring the 3rd annual Gut Road Cleanup on March 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
            The cleanup is being organized by a partnership between nthe Jst’Fishin Susquehanna River Guide, Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper, Modern Landfill, PPL Corp, Republic Services, Inc., York County Conservation District and York Waste Disposal. Interested citizen volunteers should meet at the Gut Road boat launch area, near Saginaw, East Manchester Township.
            All ages welcome, children and youth must be accompanied by parent or adult. Trash bags, work gloves and light refreshments provided. Dress for the weather, water-proof foot gear recommended. Come for the whole day, or just an hour or two. Cleanup will be held rain or shine; unless a River Flooding or Severe Weather Warnings are issued for the area the day of the event, then cleanup will be cancelled.
