Ms. Marks will provide the keynote address on Friday evening, April 8. Marks co-founded REP America in 1995, in order to restore the conservation tradition of the GOP. She was elected president of the organization a year later. Since then, she has traveled the country spreading her message, Conservation is Conservative!.

Her presentation will focus on the importance of protecting high-quality natural areas and farmland so that they are not lost forever to development.

The Pennsylvania Land Trust Association seeks to protect Pennsylvania’s special places and landscapes for today and for generations to come. To increase the quality and pace of land conservation, PALTA helps conservation practitioners improve their effectiveness, builds public understanding, and advocates for better governmental policy.
