Help Wanted: Science Education Specialist Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

The Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is seeking a part-time Science Education Specialist to assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of formal youth programs administered both on-site and off-site for pre-K through grade 12 school groups, scouts and brownies, after-school programs and summer camps.
            The Science Education Specialist will also assist with teacher professional development programs and new programs for non- traditional and underserved audiences focusing on healthy foods, community improvement and participatory learning.
            The qualified candidate must have a passion for teaching and for the environment. Bachelor’s degree in environmental education, environmental social sciences or the ecological or conservation-based biological sciences required, along with a valid driver’s license and consistent access to a vehicle.
