Bills Introduced
The following bills of interest were introduced this week--
Drilling Wastewater Testing: House Bill 1565 (George-D-Clearfield) requiring additional testing of recycled drilling wastewater and for electronic tracking of wastewater to and from oil and gas operations. Natural Gas Infrastructure: House Bill 1569 (Reichley-R-Berks) authorizing the Public Utility Commission to order the replacement of aging natural gas infrastructure.
Gas Well Permit Applications: House Bill 1594 (Reed-R-Indiana) amending the Oil and Gas Act further providing for information on permit applications related to nearby water supplies, coal seams, surface landowners and other requirements.
Forestry Task Force: House Resolution 309 (Hutchinson-R-Venango) establishing a Forestry Task Force to study issues related to the renewal and management of the Commonwealth's forests.
