Rep. Sturla, Local Partners Team Up For June 4 Conestoga Cleanup

Rep. Mike Sturla (D-Lancaster), is inviting residents to join with him, as well as the City of Lancaster, Franklin and Marshall College, the Lancaster Solid Waste Authority and American Rivers from 9 a.m. to noon  June 4 for the 2011 Conestoga River Cleanup.
            Rep. Sturla said volunteers will meet at Reigart's Landing in the Lancaster County Park, Chesapeake and Strawberry streets, for the community's annual river cleanup. Volunteers are reminded to wear clothes appropriate for the day's weather, and that gloves will be provided this year. Lunch will also be provided by Turkey Hill and House of Pizza following the event.
            People interested in volunteering or looking for more information should call Rep. Sturla's constituent service office at 717-295-3157.
            Rep. Sturla has introduced legislation, House Bill 1214 to establish the "Adopt-A-River" program within the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
