Environmental History - Historic Marker Honoring Maurice Goddard To Be Dedicated May 30 In Camp Hill

Dr. Maurice Goddard, the founder of Pennsylvania's State Park System and the first Secretary of the Department of Environmental Resources will be honored with the dedication of a state historical market at 12:30 on May 30 in Willow Park, 25th and Market Streets, Camp Hill, Pa across the river from Harrisburg. Speakers at the event will include: William Forrey, former director of the Bureau of State Parks, former state Senator Franklin Kury and attorney Timothy Weston, a colleague of Maurice Goddard.
The event is being coordinated by the PA Parks and Forests Foundation as part of the Foundation's Goddard Legacy Project.
