Wonderling Spotlights Save-A-Tree, Plant-A-Tree Program, Arbor Day April 29

Sen. Wonderling (R-Montgomery) will present a $10,000 grant to the Homebuilders Association of Bucks and Montgomery Counties and to Moulton Builders, Inc. to support the Save-A-Tree, Plant-A-Tree Program.

The state funds were made available through the Community Revitalization Program administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development.

The grant will be used to begin the Association's new Save-a-Tree, Plant-a-Tree program.

Morton Builders will relocate 14 trees from a proposed 22-unit townhouse development to an open area adjacent to the township park. Among the trees slated for a new home: Eastern Red Cedar, Pin Oak and Sugar Maple.

Only a small portion of the grant will be used for Moulton's tree relocation; the remainder will be placed in the accounts of the Homebuilders' Association charitable foundation for future tree relocations.
