35th Anniversary of Earth Day—Celebrating with Special Digest Publications
|
|
Remember celebrating the first Earth Day in 1970 with tie-dyed shirts and sandals! In those days they said don’t trust anyone over 30, but with Earth Day celebrating its 35th anniversary, we can probably make an exception. PA Environment Digest has put together two special publications with tips, resources and suggestions how you can save money and the environment at the same time. This week we include “Earth Day 2005 – At Home, On the Farm and At School” a guide to how individuals, farmers, teachers, educators and students can do their part to protect the environment. Next week we’ll include the second publication—“Green Makes $ense”—a guide to how companies and organizations can join businesses that have saved over $1 billion by reducing waste, cutting water use and using energy more efficiently. In the meantime, celebrate Earth Day by doing something positive for the environment, like finding a Great PA Cleanup! event near you by going to the Great PA Cleanup! webpage. |
