Webinar: Lessons From The Land Conewago Creek Partnership July 18

You are invited to the next Lessons from the Land Webinar sponsored by Penn State Cooperative Extension in collaboration with a number of partners on July 18 to highlight the Conewago Creek Watershed Initiative.
           The webinar will broadcast live from the Soil & Water Conservation Society meeting in Washington, D.C.
            The 90 minute symposium and webinar features partner perspectives including:
-- About the Conewago Initiative—Matt Royer, Penn State Extension;
-- Federal Partner Role and New Paradigms for Conservation— Dan Dostie, PA Natural Resources Conservation Service;
-- Best Practices and Conservation Districts, Mike Hubler, Dauphin Co Conservation District;
-- Critical Audiences—Innovations with Youth—Jennifer Fetter, Penn State Extension; and
-- The Human Dimensions—Kathy Brasier, Penn State Extension.
            The Conewago Creek Collaborative Initiative is one of the three USDA designated “Showcase Watersheds” and was selected because of the heightened level of coordination and collaboration underway between the community, agencies and organizations that seek to improve local water quality and decrease the loads of nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment stemming from cumulative land practices.
