Marcellus Shale Coalition: Ready To Work To Modernize Drilling Laws

The Marcellus Shale Coalition industry group released this statement in response to the release of the final report by the Governor's Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission:
"The Marcellus Shale Coalition stands ready to work with the regulatory community and General Assembly on modernizing Pennsylvania's laws and regulations to further the responsible development of the Marcellus Shale,” said Kathryn Klaber, MSC president and executive director. “As an industry of engineers and scientists, who solve complex challenges and seek to innovate by the day, we continue to demonstrate our ability to rapidly develop new solutions, technologies and best practices to enhance Marcellus production. From water reuse and recycling practices to meeting DEP's guidance on surface disposal, our track record is proven."
The Marcellus Shale Coalition chairman and senior vice president of Range Resources, was the coalition’s representative on the commission. Several other MSC member company representatives also served on the commission.
