The following bills of interest were introduced this week--

Flood Recovery: House Bill 1914 (Baker-R-Tioga) the Capital Budget Act of 2011 for Highways Damaged by 2011 flooding and House Bill 1915 (Boback-R-Columbia) providing for the adoption of a Capital Project Budget to repair highways, bridges damaged by September flooding.

Dam Repair: House Bill 1941 (Scavello-R-Monroe) enacting the Dam Project Assistance Act to authorize $500 million in debut for dam removal, restoration and repair projects.

Flood Damage Minimization: House Bill 1949 (Pashinski-D-Luzerne) establishing the Flood Damage Minimization Fund for residential and business financial assistance.

Drilling Fee/Environmental Protection: House Bill 1950 (Ellis-R-Butler) establishing a county-imposed drilling fee, adopting the Governor's drilling environmental protection proposals and authorizing additional transfers from the Oil and Gas Fund.

AEPS Standards: House Bill 1962 (Godshall-R-Montgomery) increasing the Tier I mandate under the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards quarterly based on the increase in new biomass and low-impact hydro power facilities.

Oil & Gas Wells: House Bill 1975 (Gabler-R-Clearfield) further providing for well restrictions to protect water supplies.

Transportation Funding Bills: Senate Bill 4 (Corman-R-Centre) uncapping the Oil Company Franchise Tax over five years; Senate Bill 1326 (Corman) creating an Intermodal Transportation Fund, increasing registration and license fees and penalties; Senate Bill 1327 (Corman) further providing authorization to PennDOT for application and approval process and asset improvement programs.
