Western PA 2011 Hard to Recycle Season Recap

The 2011 Hard to Recycle Collection Events sponsored by the PA Resources Council, Zero Waste Pittsburgh and many other partners in Western PA were some of the most successful since the program's inception in 2003.
This year, more than 1,500 participants helped to recycle: 91.7 tons of electronics, including 13.7 tons of e-waste collected by the municipalities of Green Tree and Glassport; 442 CFLs; 697 tires; 2,100 pounds of usable building materials; more than 100 different medical supplies; 220 pounds of clothing; 40+ tote bags
