PLTA Accepting Nominations For Government Conservation Leadership Awards
|

Has your local government successfully conserved open space and natural resources? Nominate it for one of the PA Land Trust Association's 2012 Conservation Government Leadership Awards. The deadline for nominations is February 3. Any Pennsylvania municipal or county government that has demonstrated leadership and vision that resulted or will result in the permanent conservation of open space and valuable and unique land and/or water resources.
Success in natural resource conservation can be achieved through land use planning and regulations, resource protection strategies, and land and/or easement acquisition. Recognition may be based on the work of a government, multi-government partnership, commission or board but must be sanctioned by the governing body or bodies.
