Fish & Boat Commission Launches New PA Waters Patch Series
Photo

The Fish and Boat Commission has launched a new Pennsylvania Waters Patch Series starting with two patches - a Spring Creek Canyon patch and a Spring Creek Canyon-Brown Trout patch.
The patches are only available through Wilderness Editions or by calling 1-800-355-7645. The patches are $6 each and can be purchases by check, money order or credit card.
The patches are the first in the Pennsylvania Waters Series. The series will feature the rivers, streams and lakes of Pennsylvania. The companion patch will highlight a fish species found in those waters.
The inaugural series features Spring Creek Canyon in the north-central region of the state outside State College. On September 30, the multi-partnered Spring Creek Canyon Cooperative Management Coalition unveiled signs and an informational kiosk to greet visitors to more than 1,800 acres which were opened for public use. A 4.4-mile main trail offers recreational opportunities such as hiking and biking.
The canyon land is jointly managed by the PFBC, Game Commission, the Department of Corrections, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and The Pennsylvania State University and Benner Township.
