Senate Announces 2012 Budget Hearing Schedule
|

The Senate Appropriations Committee announced its schedule of hearings on Gov. Corbett's 2012 budget proposal between February 13 and 29. The hearings will be Hearing Room 1, North Office Building. -- February 13: 9:30 - Governor's Budget Office; 1:00 - Independent Fiscal Office Economic Outlook and Revenue Overview;
-- February 14: 9:30 - Department of General Services; 1:00 - Public Utility Commission;
-- February 16: 1:00 - State Police/ Homeland Security; 3:00 - Department of Conservation and Natural Resources;
-- February 22: 9:30 - Department of Environmental Protection; 1:00 - Department of Transportation;
-- February 27: 9:30 - Department of Education; 3:00 - Department of Community and Economic Development/ PA Housing Finance Agency;
-- February 28: 1:00 - Department of Agriculture; and
-- February 29: 9:30 - PA Emergency Management Agency.
The complete House and Senate budget hearing schedule is in the Calendar of Events. Sen. Jake Corman (R-Centre) serves as Majority Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee and Sen. Vincent Hughes (D-Philadelphia) serves as Minority Chair.
