Photo

The Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association is sponsoring a Winter Birdseed Sale with orders due February 6.  The Wissahickon Trail Ambassadors are also presenting a series of winter talks.
            Birdseed Sale
The Association’s 1,200 acres of preserved open space provide a valuable flyway for migrating and wintering birds.  With the purchase of WVWA birdseed, you will feed your birds while helping WVWA protect wildlife habitat. WVWA sells top quality birdseed that is seasonally appropriate for the birds in the Wissahickon Watershed.
Birdseed MUST be pre-ordered.  Orders are accepted through February 6 by 2 pm.  Birdseed will be available for pick-up at WVWA’s Four Mills Barn at 12 Morris Road in Ambler on Friday, February 10 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. or Saturday, February 11 from 9 a.m. – noon.
Order forms are found on the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association website or call 215-646-8866 to place an order.
            Trail Ambassador Talks
The Wissahickon Trail Ambassadors will present a series of free winter talks in late January and February at the Cedars House in Wissahickon Valley Park. Topics will include 17th and 18th century mills and homesteads, current stewardship challenges, the Valley through the year and historic geology.  Click Here for more information.
