Harrisburg Falcon Eggs Hatch In Time for Mother’s Day

The Department of Environmental Protection reported this week that right on schedule, the Peregrine Falcon eggs nurtured by a pair of falcons on the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg started to hatch this week.

This follows the pair of Peregrine Falcons nesting at the Gulf Tower nest in Pittsburgh whose eggs were laid earlier and hatched last week.

Just a reminder the Pennsylvania Game Commission will hold a live event on May 26 at 12:30 pm in the Rachel Carson State Office Building to band the young falcons. The event will again be available to watch online through a live webcast by clicking on the “Register to Watch the Webcast” link beginning May 25.
