Allegheny County Mini-Environmental Grants Available

The Allegheny County Health Department is accepting applications for its 12th annual Tony Stagno Environmental Health Mini-Grant Awards Program. The application deadline is May 27. Any community-based organizations may apply. The grants can be used for projects designed to preserve and improve communities in the areas of indoor or outdoor air quality, drinking water, wastewater, housing and community environment, food safety, solid waste, childhood lead poisoning, injury prevention and violence prevention. Grant applications may be obtained by calling the Allegheny County Health Department at 412-687-ACHD or by visiting the Stagno Awards Program webpage. At least 10 grants of up to $3,000 each are available. Municipal governments, universities and hospital systems are not eligible for the funding. |
